URP Tuesdays -- April 5th, 2010 -- Motion Picture Ish...

And now, for the feature presentation...

We decided to get the ball rolling with the beat battle, as usual. This week's theme was our favourite tracks from a movie soundtrack. Narrowing it down to one track each was no easy task, but we did our best. The Big M pick of the night was a personal favourite that only a small handful of people will agree with, but whatever: Pandemonium by The Pharcyde, from King Of New York. 2Face Al picked Am I Black Enough For You by Schoolly D. Agree? Disagree? Want to punch us in the face based on our choices? You can do two of the three at the URP Facebook Page.

We here at the Urban Renewal Project are fans of music in general, not only Hip-Hop, which is why we take a moment to acknowledge the work of Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain. Like him or not, you have to appreciate his approach to music. Rest In Power (Kurt Cobain February 20, 1967 – April 5, 1994)

We bumped a ton of tunes tonight from the likes of Classified, King Reign, Royce Da 5'9, Black Moon, Planet Asia, Saigon and many more. Stay tuned to www.URPRadio.Podomatic.com, as we are in the process of throwing up any past shows we've missed in the past couple weeks!
