URP Radio -- September 15, 2009 -- PODCAST-- FINALLY!

We started our night off by featuring the new Duck Down Records release, "Survival Skills" by Buckshot & KRS-One. This album is dope on first listen and NOT one to be slept on especially with all the Canadian talent on it: Marco Polo, K’Naan, Moss, and Melanie Fiona. Buckshot, his flow is ridiculous on this album at times outshining KRS on the record, but both MCs are lyrical monsters and this is evident as soon as you pop the disc in your deck. Check it out!

We then caught our white whale, so to speak. We were finally joined by the one and only Saukrates (the Dr. Dre of the Canadian hip-hop scene). This Canadian Hip-Hop icon had a lot to say about diversifying, remixing and collaborating, up-coming and bubbling Canadian talent, and why it's good to see the glass half full as opposed to half empty. You won't want to miss this interview or the subsequent Saukrates mix, so make sure you download the podcast!
